Made to be broken,

Or at very least bent,

Found in school and court,

Game and tournament.

I devour what you forget,

Thrive in corners you neglect,

Grey, black, and green - a creeping foe,

In darkness near you I may grow.

A slice of a tower that touches the sky,

The past retold or made up lie,

There are two sides to each of I,

Read to children before the night.

Stage for a wrestling match,

Or perhaps a yoga stance,

I greet guests at your door,

And clean shoes to save your floor.

Full when one is overcommitted,

Chef’s canvas from which you eat.

Green space to call your own,
