Riddle of the Day List

In the hands of a child, I'm a sword,

In the hands of a hiker, provide support,

Poorly treated if receiving my short end,

Held in the mouth of man's best friend!

In flocks not seen in the sky,

A conniving wolf's disguise,

Counted before you sleep,

Don’t mind that I am fleeced.

Tropical treat meaning crazy,

Crescent snack for the lazy,

Born in bunches, in regions sunlit,

For a cold treat, I am split.

Source of zen and pleasure,

Or a healthy bite to eat,

Butterflies and bees welcome,

Deer my worst enemy.

Twin balloons,

I rest in a cage,

Cleared with a cough,

Iron-made in polio’s age.

I make terrible jams,

Source of congestion, ruined plans,

When heavy, I slowly flow,

Directed by lights, lines, and cones.
